Dr. Lilian Karina Julian, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician within the Ophthalmology Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Surgical Institute.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Julian practiced as a Staff Opthalmologist at Austral University Hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was also the head of the Uveitis Clinic at the Instituto de la Vision in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the first private setting uveitis department in the country.

Dr. Julian earned both her Medical and Ophthalmology degrees from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She completed two fellowships in Uveitis. The first at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and the second at La Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Sorbonne Universités) in Paris, France. Her experience in various clinical settings in South America and Europe has contributed to her deep understanding in the relation between genetics and environment in the clinical course of uveitis.
