Dr. Ahmed Zayat is a Senior Consultant Rheumatologist working at University Hospital Sharjah. He was trained in the European center of excellence (EULAR) in Leeds in the UK working with some of the most famous rheumatologists in the world. Dr Zayat completed his CCT in rheumatology with membership of the royal college of physicians of London. Academically, he had masters in medical imaging, postgraduate certificate in musculoskeletal ultrasound and MD in rheumatology all from the UK.

He published many rheumatology publications in the highest impact rheumatology journal with active research profile on lupus and medical imaging including well known work of the use of ultrasound in different rheumatic diseases.

Before coming to UAE, Dr. Zayat was the clinical lead of the rheumatology department in St Luke’s hospital. During his work in St Luke’s department he won a prize for improving patient care to state of the art level.
