Dr. Carl Laskin has been at the University of Toronto in the Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine since 1983. He was cross appointed to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1987. Subsequently he was appointed to the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is currently the Managing Director of TRIO Fertility in Toronto.

Dr. Laskin continues to be actively involved in clinical research dealing with recurrent miscarriage; reproductive medicine in women and men with rheumatic diseases including infertility and pregnancy. He is a frequent speaker at international and national meetings in both rheumatology and obstetrics & gynecology.

Dr. Laskin is a past president of the Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society and will likely be the only rheumatologist to ever hold that office.
