Dr. Yasin is Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist, at KASCH, NGHA, Jeddah. Dr. Yasin received her medical degree followed by a Master of Science (MSc) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Witwatersrand (Wits University) in South Africa. She subsequently completed a residency in pediatrics at Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, VA. Followed by a fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). She then worked as an assistant professor of pediatrics in the division of Pediatric Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology, Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Iowa, Carver college of medicine before joining SSMC Abu Dhabi. AT SSMC she served at consultant pediatric rheumatologist and pediatric rheumatology fellowship director. She recently joined KASCH. She is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology. Her research focuses on autoinflammatory diseases biomarkers and identifying risk factors. She worked on systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis biomarkers (namely IL-18) and lung disease. She received multiple awards from the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), and the Rheumatology Research Foundation (RRF) for her work following multiple podium presentations at ACR. This work led to multiple publications in peer reviewed rheumatology journal. Recently shifted her research focus to CRMO and CRMO spine disease, he recent ACR work was featured in the ACR press conference.
